On the 25th of October 2015, the very day of the 600th anniversary of the battle of Azincourt, the national televised news of France 3 broadcast a report about the battle of Azincourt. A particular attention was granted to Gallois de Fougières, the first gendarme to have fallen in battle. The members of the Gallois de Fougières project, from in the museum of the Gendarmerie at the officers' school of Melun (EOGN), explained, in front of the cameras, the important duty of the provost marshal, predecessor of today's gendarmes.
